The name Integral Body Therapy refers to Patricia’s interest in the writings of Ken Wilber. Integral, meaning necessary for completion, speaks to the idea of moving toward balance utilizing these mind/body practices.

Patricia offers both therapeutic bodywork and classes. This work incorporates modalities that not only effect change in your body, but also help to open you to new awareness. Imbalance, stress are signals the body/mind is calling you home. Homing, the need to reconnect with self, to clear and release what no longer serves.

The nurturing power of touch, focused intent, breathing and stretching all combine to assist you to slow down, rebalance, and find your center. Grounded, balanced, these are words people use to describe how they feel after a session.

Healing emerges out of self awareness. Self awareness leads to clarity, resolution of old issues, and a strengthened and flexible ability to move forward with our lives.

Patricia’s training began in 1974 with yoga classes while a student at Miami University, and continued during 21 years living in Chicago. She graduated from the Ohashi Institute, www.ohashiatsu.org, and trained with QiGong Master Yu Cheng Huang. In 1993, she left the corporate arena to work full time as a Shiatsu Practitioner. In 1995 she returned to her family home here in Ohio.

A meditator since 1985, Patricia is an initiate of the Himalayan Institute. She has practiced Vipassana or Mindfulness meditation since 1990, and has been on retreat with leading meditation teachers. During her direction of Mindfulness Meditation of Columbus, 1997- 2006 she managed bi-annual weekend retreats, bringing nationally known teachers to the area.
